Yesterday, it was reported that AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is open to signing for Manchester City.

There was a report the Netherlands international will not officially hand in a transfer request but he would not reject a transfer, if the two clubs reach an agreement. The situation is now heating up and it looks increasingly positive for Manchester City.

Corriere dello Sport, as relayed by MilanPress, have reported that Reijnders could be showing signs of a potential exit from the Rossoneri.

Sources close to the player have informed the newspaper that the midfielder had booked a vacation in Ibiza with his family for the beginning of July. That has now been cancelled.

The belief is that this could be because of Manchester City and their insistence on the transfer this summer, as Pep Guardiola wants the ex-AZ Alkmaar player at the Etihad before the FIFA Club World Cup starts.

Cancelling his vacation will give Reijnders the time to play for the Citizens at the tournament and he would also be able to complete the move on time.

Manchester City are yet to present an official approach for the player but things can move quickly, once the bid comes forward.
