Everton are among the clubs to have Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund on their transfer agenda.
The forward had already attracted attention from several Europe clubs and there’s more attention after he scored a hat-trick in Denmark’s win over Finland on Thursday.
That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who state Everton and Napoli are in the mix to sign the 20-year-old since they are ‘hunting’ for an attacker.
The Serie A side signed the Denmark international from Sturm Graz last summer and offered him a contract until 2027. As it stands, they have not received any offers for their young star.
With Højlund drawing interest from Everton and others, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are ‘waiting’ to receive an offer. It’s claimed they have set a base price of €40m to start the auction for him, since ‘such a talent is difficult to find’.
There’s no mention whether Sean Dyche’s side are willing to meet the base price set by Atalanta for the Dane.
Everton were unsuccessful in their attempts to bolster their attack in the winter market. They are expected to strengthen it in the summer and Højlund is included in their target list.
