On Wednesday morning, we covered TuttoMercatoWeb claiming Manchester United are ‘pressing’ to get Kim Min-jae signed from Napoli.
It was said the Red Devils are ‘ready to force’ the transfer ‘immediately’ by triggering his release clause.
This rumour is being taken very seriously by the Italian media, and TuttoMercatoWeb is now back with more claims on the case.
In another piece, they claim that as Kim ‘should go to Manchester United’, Napoli are already analysing some substitutes for him.
The Serie A side have a few names on the list, and Atalanta centre-back Giorgio Scalvini is said to be on top of it.
Some comments have also been made on TMW Radio, where the Maracanã show had a word with pundit Francesco Repice about Napoli’s transfer window.
It turns out the commentator is completely against Kim’s move to Manchester United, claiming the defender has no reason to leave the Serie A champions for the Red Devils at this stage.
“I don’t see why, for example, Kim goes to United. Napoli are worth more than Manchester today, they offer more guarantees now. You can think not with the wallets but thinking about the environment and prospects. I’d wait, because Napoli don’t need the money.”
Napoli’s biggest problem is that Kim has a €60m release clause, so there isn’t a lot they can do if and when Manchester United show up with that amount.
