Charly Musonda expected to be a regular Chelsea player by now, he’s made his feelings clear more than once and believes he hasn’t been given enough trust by managers at the club.

Loan spells at Real Betis and Celtic have had mixed results, and despite still only being 21 years of age, the young Belgian will feel he’s playing catch-up on his wonderkid status.

This season he’s been sent to Vitesse on loan, which isn’t the most glamorous of moves but the relationship with Chelsea will certainly have helped.

Now there’s been another setback, and it could be a serious one.

Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander report on Thursday that Musonda has suffered a ‘serious shin injury’.

It happened in his first match against Royal Antwerp, and it’s thought the youngster will now be out ‘for months’.

Musonda is in London as Chelsea do their own medical checks, and Vitesse are yet to hear back from the Premier League club.
