This has helped Arne Slot’s side make progress in negotiations with the Spanish club.
Valencia owner Peter Lim wants €35m plus bonuses and a percentage of a future sale. His side will have to offer a loan fee, which will be deduced from the final sum.
Liverpool and the Spanish club are now discussing the payment method and the stopper’s wages during the loan stay. The Premier League side will offer him twice as much as his current salary which is €3m gross per year.
Liverpool want Valencia to cover a large part of his salary during his loan stay and are looking to spread the payment across several years. Lim wants it as quickly as possible, at least a large part of the fixed sum.
These are important details that need to be sorted out before Liverpool complete the signing of Mamardashvili.
