AFC Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen will join Real Madrid on June 1st after they activated his release clause.

The Premier League club have been working behind the scenes to find a replacement for the centre-back and have identified FC Nantes’ Nathan Zézé as a target.

On May 9th, we covered claims from France that Bournemouth have made a verbal offer of €15-16m while the Ligue 1 club are requesting €20m for the defender.

Le10 Sport provide the latest on the Cherries’ ongoing pursuit of the 19-year-old. He has a contract until 2028, but his future will be away from the French club.

Andoni Iraola’s side have had the player on their radar for several weeks and he’s ‘getting closer and closer’ to joining them.

The report adds the chance of Zézé moving to England in the summer window has been increasing. That’s because Bournemouth have ‘completed a number of steps’ with both the player and his club related to the transfer fee, salary, contract etc.

Bournemouth are already well advanced and are accelerating to seal this signing. Le10 state Nantes could collect over €20m from the France U21 international’s sale.

In short, the Premier League club are on the right track to sign Zézé for next season.
