Arsenal’s need to strengthen their squad in the winter market have seen them identify Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhailo Mudryk as one of their transfer targets.
The Gunners wanting the winger was already been confirmed by the Ukrainian champions last month, who also insisted their star is valued at €100m.
On December 30th, Sportanalytic.com stated Arsenal still cannot understand why Shakhtar Donetsk are demanding such a hefty fee for Mudryk, who has only made a handful of appearances for Ukraine and not yet played in the top five leagues in Europe.
A fresh report from the same website explains the 21-year-old is ‘getting closer’ to sealing a move to the north London club.
According to Sportanalytic.com, the Ukraine international has ‘already held talks’ with Mikel Arteta. The discussion was around the role he would have at the Emirates, if Arsenal were to be successful in acquiring his signature.
The Premier League side have seen as earlier bid of €40m turned down by Shakhtar Donetsk and recent claims have indicated they have tabled an improved offer. This is also highlighted in the report.
