Club Brugge youngster Antonio Nusa is ‘in full negotiations’ with Chelsea about a move on deadline day but would remain in Belgium this season.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, who back up reports that Chelsea are showing an interest in the highly rated youngster.
A report earlier today indicated the Blues had made a late move for Nusa as they continue their efforts to scoop up every young, highly rated player across the world.
That report indicated both the player and Brugge had a decision to make, with Chelsea more than happy to pay and satisfy their demands.
HLN back that up and say the player is in ‘full negotiations’ with Chelsea about a move to Stamford Bridge but despite that, there is ‘good news’ for Brugge in the matter.
They state that barring an absolute surprise, the Belgian side can keep hold of Nusa for another season at least.
According to their information, Chelsea are ‘concrete’ and happy to pay a figure close to Brugge’s club record €32m sale of Charles de Ketelaere.
Brugge and the player are also negotiating with other Premier League clubs but those deals, like this one, would be for after this season. That’s because Nusa decided earlier this week he wanted to stay where he was for one more season and ‘nothing has changed’ at the moment.
Thus, Chelsea, or any of the other interested parties, would be buying him now but leaving him where he is to develop for a year and then getting him next year.
