At the weekend, some rumours started popping up in Mexico regarding Raul Jimenez’s return to Club America.
Fox Deportes journalist Claudia Garcia claimed Wolverhampton Wanderers and their manager Julen Lopetegui decided to sell the player in the January transfer window, and wondered whether he could be making a comeback to his former club.
It turns out that W Radio now comes up with a more complete report about that, and reiterates Jimenez could be soon leaving Molineux.
It’s claimed that following the controversies regarding the striker getting to play in the World Cup after a long time being unavailable for Wolves, Julen Lopetegui actually decided to let him go. It’s said the ‘idea’ is to make him available in the January window or in the summer market.
According to W Radio, Jimenez has ‘a foot and a half’ out of the club, as it will be difficult for him to find a place in the team now.
The report claims the striker’s entourage is ‘already analysing options to continue his career’, as he already had approaches from two MLS clubs, although a return to Club America remains a strong rumour in Mexico.
