Fenerbahçe full-back Ferdi Kadıoğlu will travel to England this weekend for a medical with Brighton and Hove Albion.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that a medical has been booked in for the defender after a deal was agreed earlier today.
Reports across Turkey have made it clear that Brighton have finally struck a deal for Kadıoğlu after chasing him for the last few weeks.
It seems the Seagulls are keen to bring in the Turkish international to provide competition for Pervis Estupinan, with Valentin Barco heading on loan to Sevilla.
A deal is now in place and Sabuncuoğlu reports that the defender is set to travel to England this weekend for a medical. He has already said goodbye to the team and the technical staff.
He adds that Kadıoğlu has already reached an agreement on personal terms and will sign a five-year deal with Brighton. The Seagulls will also have an option to extend it by another year too.
The deal now appears to be in the final stages, with updates likely to be forthcoming when Kadıoğlu catches is flight to England over the next few days.
