Earlier this month, we covered claims from Germany that Manchester City could be Dani Olmo’s next destination.
The Spain international’s current deal lasts until 2027 and Bild now provide more on his plans for the future.
It’s explained that signs point to a farewell in the summer, when his €60m clause will be active.
Barcelona were a dream destination for the 25-year-old, but the report states this option has now gone cold. Therefore, the attacking midfielder is looking towards England, where Manchester City and a few other clubs are in the mix.
As well as the Premier League winners, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the mix to sign Olmo. The latter two aren’t favoured by him due to their sporting situations, and Guardiola’s side are likelier to be his next destination.
Last summer, Manchester CIty signed Joško Gvardiol from the Bundesliga side. Bild state the two clubs ‘maintain very good contacts’, and this may help Guardiola’s side overcome competition to sign Olmo in the next window.
