Earlier this month, claims from Italy talked about Manchester City and Manchester United as options for Juventus’ Douglas Luiz in the winter market.
On January 6th, Tuttosport reported Pep Guardiola likes Luiz, who was at Manchester City between 2017and 2019.
Three days later, Calciomercato.it stated the midfielder’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, floated the idea of taking his client to Manchester United. He also manages Joshua Zirkzee and it’s previously been reported could take the striker to Juve as part of a deal for the 26-year-old.
TuttoMercatoWeb now claim the Brazil international fancies a move to Manchester City or Manchester United if he leaves Juve in January.
Luiz has struggled with form since arriving at the Serie A side last summer and an injury didn’t help him with his adaptation in Italy. This has given rise to several claims of a possible exit in the ongoing window, with Nottingham Forest and Fulham as suitors.
Luiz’s other agent, Gianmaria Montesano, will soon meet him in Turin, likely to discuss his future. TMW state he’ll only leave the Old Lady for a top-level club like Manchester City or Manchester United instead of Nottingham Forest or Fulham.
Although earlier claims talked about two Manchester clubs’ interest, TWM give no clarity if either of them will make an approach for Luiz soon.
