There are reports in the Swedish media that Derby County are closing in on Djurgårdens IF goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterström.
The Championship side have been linked with the 26-year-old in the past week and claims from Expressen yesterday said an agreement was in place between the two clubs.
Expressen have reported on the latest developments regarding the Swede’s move to Derby County and they say the player is now expected to travel to England to have a medical.
Again, Expressen report the transfer fee will be in the region of £1.4m after Derby County’s initial offer was rejected last week. Djurgårdens IF sporting director Bosse Anderson has also confirmed transfer talks have been ongoing between his club and the Rams.
Zetterström has impressed in recent seasons which has brought him to the attention of other clubs, including Derby County.
He made 14 league appearances for his club this season and is contracted to Djurgårdens IF until June 2025. The Stockholm born keeper made his debut for Sweden last year.
