According to a claim in the Turkish media, Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu is expected to sign for Leicester City today before this evening’s transfer deadline.
The Turkey international has been linked with the Foxes in recent days and yesterday it was reported personal terms have been agreed with the player.
Sabah today report Soyuncu should become a Leicester City player in the coming hours, and that the Premier League side will pay Freiburg €25m for the central defender.
It’s also been claimed Soyuncu’s former club Altınordu are set for a windfall from the deal and they will receive a percentage of the €25m. It’s reported the Turkish club will make €6m from the transfer.
It now seems just a matter of time before Soyuncu is officially announced as a Leicester City player, at least according to the Turkish media, with reports in the past 24 hours he’s already had his medical with the English club.
The defender has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal.
In Germany, this story isn’t really being pushed.
