It appears that we are about to see Chelsea unveiling Noni Madueke, as the latest from the Netherlands continues to emerge.
Rik Elfrink, who has been at the forefront of the story, took to Twitter to reveal that the PSV player will join the Blues on a very lengthy contract, just like Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The medicals are set to take place today, which was already known, but it’s made clear the player will not be available for Chelsea’s game against Liverpool on Saturday.
It’s simply too soon for everything to be resolved, but Friday is for the ‘medical’ and the remainder of the ‘paperwork’.
As for the forward, he will sign until 2031, which makes it another eight and a half year contract for the Blues, following the same pattern of lengthy contracts which were showcased in the deals for Benoit Badiashile and the aforementioned Ukrainian.
Now we just have to wait for the official confirmation from Chelsea, who will undoubtedly want to showcase their new signing as quickly as possible, giving Graham Potter as much time with him to prepare their following game, which will be against Fulham on February 3rd.
Chelsea gaat Noni Madueke tot juli 2031 vastleggen. Giga-contract voor de PSV'er. Morgen nog geen Liverpool-Chelsea. Vandaag medische keuring en er is nog papierwerk af te ronden.
🏴 Noni Madueke signs until 2031 @Chelsea. Tomorrow he won't play. Today medicals and paperwork.
