Crystal Palace are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler, according to RMC Sport.
The attacking midfielder returned to Parc des Princes after a season-long loan spell at Benfica, where he won the title with the Reds. He has been left out of the Ligue 1 side’s plans this season.
PSG have a few unwanted players and they are currently made to train separately from the main squad. Draxler is included in the list and Crystal Palace have now come forward to sign him.
It’s said the Premier League side have contacted the 29-year-old and he’s ‘excited’ about the idea of making a switch to Selhurst Park.
In addition to this, the report adds the Eagles and the French club have had first contacts for the Germany international’s transfer.
His contract expires in 2024 and RMC Sport state it won’t be a ‘simple’ operation for Roy Hodgson’s side because of the former Schalke man’s high salary.
PSG want to get rid of the player, who is keen about joining the London club. If he’s convinced to lower his salary, Crystal Palace could then be in line to get the deal over the line.
