Brighton and Hove Albion are keeping an eye on Monaco full-back Caio Henrique amid his impressive performances this season.
That’s according to IG Esporte, who say the Seagulls have ‘probed the situation’ of the Brazilian defender.
Henrique has been in fine form for Monaco this season, with five assists and one goal in ten games in Ligue 1 this season.
That has reportedly caught the attention of Premier League clubs have and he has now ‘entered the sights’ of Brighton.
IG Esporte report they have ‘probed the situation’ around the player ‘recently’, although they don’t make clear what that means.
There is also no mention of a possible transfer fee or anything of that nature, so we’ll have to assume Brighton have simply been in contact with the player’s entourage or something of that nature.
Brighton are in need of another left-back as Pervis Estupiñán is the only man they have for that position at present.
He arrived as a replacement for Marc Cucurella in the summer so it seems strange that Brighton would be looking to replace him this early.
Given the lack of information we’ll have to take this one with a hefty pinch of salt for now, but Caio Henrique may be a name to keep an eye out for moving forwards.
