Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori is ‘in the sights’ at Juventus and Tottenham, with the battle for his signature seemingly between those two.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who report that Tottenham competing with the Italian giants for the 21-year-old’s signature.
They explain that Calafiori, who is extremely highly rated in Italy, has been shining for Bologna this season, so much so that he may have convinced Luciano Spalletti to hand him a place in his Italy squad.
He’s ‘reached very high levels of performance’ this season and that has not gone unnoticed, and he’s ended up ‘in the sights of Juventus and Tottenham’.
Whether either of those sides make a move remains to be seen, particularly Tottenham given the money they’ve already spent reinforcing their defensive options, particularly in the January transfer window.
They’re seen as being in the mix, though, and keen on the player as he continues to shine in Italy for Bologna.
That’s something we’ve already heard consistently in recent months, with several reports in Italy making it clear that they’re keeping track of him ahead of the summer.
It’s certainly a situation to keep an eye on and if they do move, it appears it will be them and Juventus battling it out.
