Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas is reportedly on his way to Nottingham Forest.
That’s reported by French outlet L’Equipe, who write that the 36-year-old is ‘en route’ to the City Ground.
It was well known that PSG and Nottingham Forest had been in talks for Navas, and the report points out that after ‘lengthy negotiations’, the clubs came to an agreement.
It’s said the goalkeeper’s situation at the Ligue 1 side had been a ‘burning issue’ in recent months, as the financial discussions were ‘particularly tough’.
He never had a problem about joining Nottingham Forest, though, as he reached an agreement with the Reds ‘in recent days’. Now with the clubs reaching a deal, he’s expected to join the Reds in the coming hours, unless ‘the situation turns around’.
Navas only made a couple of appearances for PSG this season, as the French side had Gianluigi Donnarumma as the regular starter.
The Costa Rica international, who has four Champions League titles in his résumé, is set for a starting spot at Nottingham Forest following the injury to Dean Henderson.
