A week ago, Le10 Sport explained Arsenal are ‘very interested’ in Renato Sanches and have made their interest known to the Lille player.

On Monday, the midfielder insisted he is “ready” to join a big club when quizzed about the Gunners and AC Milan wanting to sign him in January. He also stated his agent is dealing with the clubs that are considering taking his services.

Calciomercato have come up with a report, detailing what is happening ‘behind the scenes’ to take the 24-year-old to the San Siro.

It’s said the Portugal international has been notified by his entourage about the recent contacts they had with the Serie A side.

The ex-Bayern Munich man’s representative, Jorge Mendes, views Milan as the ‘most suitable club’ for Sanches, after the ‘important maturity’ he showed in the last two years.

Lille’s ‘starting valuation’ is about €35m and Milan chief Paolo Maldini ‘will give it a try’ in the next few days. In the event they fail to secure his services in January, then the Italian club will try again next summer.

The north London club are tagged as Calciomeracto explain Arsenal and Liverpool are ‘warned’ that Milan are ‘serious’ about Sanches.

What’s not mentioned in the report is if Arsenal can meet Lille’s asking price in the winter market and convince the midfielder, they can get beat Milan to Sanches’ signature.
