Wolfsburg youngster Aster Vranckx ‘dreams’ of playing for Chelsea or Real Madrid in future but is leaving all transfer talk to his agent.
That’s according to BILD, who profile the Belgian youngster today as he makes his way up the football ladder.
Vranckx is considered one of the Belgian stars of the future after emerging as a star man for KV Mechelen in his homeland.
A series of impressive performances for them despite his young age had all the big clubs in Europe reportedly interested, including Chelsea, who have a history of scooping up young talent from Belgium.
When it came to a transfer, though, Vranckx ignored the interest of the big clubs for a move to Wolfsburg, who paid £7.2m for his signature this summer.
He’s yet to shine for the German side but at just 19-years-old has plenty of time to do so, and BILD report today that they are just a stepping stone as the midfielder ‘dreams of Real Madrid or Chelsea’.
Transfer speculation is not something he’s interested in getting involved in, though, with him telling the newspaper: “I don’t concern myself with that. That’s the job of my advisor.”
Whether he actually gets a move to either club in future remains to be seen but talk of Chelsea, and Real Madrid is nothing new.
Last year we covered his move to Wolfsburg in Het Laatste Nieuws, with the player explaining why he had chosen them and turned down more high profile options.
It was stated then that he ‘dreams’ of Chelsea and Real Madrid and BILD have echoed that entirely in their piece this time around.
It seems that it’s something he and his agent want to remain in the consciousness while he works his way up in Germany and continues to develop.
