Aleksei Miranchuk missed Lokomotiv Moscow’s first two Champions League group stage fixtures with injury, but impressed in the remaining four matches, scoring a goal in each of his side’s two defeats against Juventus.
The attacking midfielder’s performances have caught the attention of Italian clubs with the Serie A winners, AC Milan and Lazio believed to be interested in him.
TuttoMercatoWeb brings an update about the Russia international and their headline reads ‘No Serie A for Miranchuk. Russian to Manchester United’.
The Red Devils are drawn into the transfer mix and it’s claimed the 24-year-old is ‘directed towards’ Old Trafford.
The website states ‘Operation that the Red Devils should complete for a figure of around 40 million Euros.’
It isn’t clear whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ready to offer €40m to the Russia international or if that’s the figure needed to convince Lokomotiv Moscow to sanction their player’s sale.
Miranchuk primarily operates as an attacking midfielder, but he can also play on either wing. He has 11 goals and two assists in all competitions this season.
