West Bromwich Albion are set to sign Randers FC’s Tammer Bany on deadline day of the winter market.

Last week, claims from Denmark stated Celtic and several other clubs are interested in the 21-year-old. There was no mention of the Championship side.

Tipsbladet on Monday report the forward has been chased by multiple clubs, but only West Brom are mentioned.

Randers are in the process of carrying out a ‘record sale’ with the Baggies on the last day of the window.

The Danish club have reached an agreement for a club-record fee of DKK 30m [€4.02m] with West Brom for Bany’s transfer. Their previous record was DKK 21.5m [€2.9m] from Filip Bundgaard’s sale to Brøndby in 2023.

Bany is in Madrid with his agent Caglar Koycu, where he is said to be currently undergoing medical examinations before transferring to West Brom. Once he completes these tests, the player can sign his contract with his new club, and as long as everything goes to plan this should take place in the next few hours.
