Ionuț Radu will finish the season at AFC Bournemouth after failing to secure a move away from the Vitality Stadium on deadline day, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The goalkeeper has been on loan at the Premier League side from Inter Milan since last summer and has been reduced to a substitute’s role under Andoni Iraola this season.
Radu made only two league appearances and wanted to leave Bournemouth in the winter market.
His desire to leave the Cherries was backed up by TuttoMercatoWeb on Thursday, and they also stated FC Metz were eager to sign the 26-year-old.
The Romania international was initially linked with a move to Al-Shabab and then the possibility of a move to Metz and Udinese had emerged.
Gazzetta state the Nerazzurri would have given an approval for him to cut short his loan stay at Bournemouth, as long as he could find a new club. It’s claimed that ‘didn’t happen’ and the stopper would be ‘disappointed’ over his failure to leave the Premier League side.
Radu will continue at Bournemouth until the end of the season and then have to make a decision on his future.
