Rasmus Højlund has struggled in his second season at Manchester Unite, with eight goals and four assists from 42 games of which five were in the Europa League group stage.

The striker scored three goals in the Premier League and only one came this year, against Leicester City last month. His Manchester United future beyond this season seems to be uncertain.

Tuttosport now report Juventus could bring the former Atalanta man back to Serie A in the summer window.

The Turin club have carried out exploratory contacts with his entourage for what they feel would be a ‘low-cost deal’.

Tuttosport state Juve could ‘sniff out’ a loan deal, ‘probably expensive’ [paid loan], with a purchase option. They haven’t made any concrete movements yet to sign the Denmark international.

Manchester United are likely to strengthen their attack and let the 22-year-old or Joshua Zirkzee leave. The report adds the Red Devils would prefer to part ways with the former La Dea frontman, also because of the possibility of getting a better deal.

For Juve, it would be ‘quite tempting’ to have the option of having Højlund for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Developments are expected if Juve were to bet on Højlund for the upcoming window.
