Newcastle United and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic over the past few months.
The Serbian isn’t having a great time in Turin and his current deal at Juve runs out in the summer of 2026, which means that the upcoming transfer window will be the last chance of earning a major fee from his sale.
Calciomercato.it report today that while Vlahovic is expected to leave Juventus, his future could involve Manchester United and Newcastle United.
The outlet claims that the Serbian is on his way out of Turin and is attracting interest from Barcelona, but the Premier League can be his next destination and it ties into Juve’s key summer targets.
The club’s sporting director Cristiano Guintoli would like Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali and Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund, with the Dane said to be under ‘special observation’.
Both players have a high valuation, and Guintoli could use Vlahovic as a ‘bargaining chip’.
The striker is currently valued at €30m and that can make it easier for Juve to land either of Tonali or Hojlund in the summer.
It sounds like a lot of wishful thinking.
