On Friday, Marca and Faro de Vigo reported Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a deal with Celta Vigo to sign Jørgen Strand Larsen on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
They also reported the transfer will be made official this week, with Faro De Vigo insisting the deal will be accounted for the 2023/24 season, instead of the new financial football year that started on Monday.
According to Norway’s TV2, the 24-year-old is inching closer towards completing a move to Wolves.
It’s claimed the striker ‘passed’ his Wolves medical in Wolverhampton on Monday. The only thing missing now is the official announcement, which is expected to take place later today.
Gary O’Neil’s side will sign the Norway international on loan with a purchase obligation. The report claims he has agreed a five-year deal, with an option for another year, and this is likely to come into effect once Wolves make his transfer permanent in 2025.
Journalist Matteo Moretto took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to also state that Jørgen Strand Larsen ‘passed’ his Wolves medical yesterday and his arrival at Molineux is expected to be made official on Tuesday.
