Alex Telles was brought to Manchester United to provide competition to Luke Shaw and his arrival last summer was partly the reason for the England international to regain his best form in the 2020/21 season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to replicate the same for the right-back position, where Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the only recognised player on the right side of the defence.

Kieran Trippier has been regularly named as a target for the Red Devils in 2021, as they even considered signing the Atlético Madrid player in January.

Multiple reports coming out of the British press in recent days have again explained the former Tottenham Hotspur man is on Manchester United’s agenda for this summer.

Mundo Deprotivo have looked at the claims made in England about the 30-year-old and have given their input on this case.

The Catalan newspaper’s title reads: ‘Trippier closes the door to Manchester United’.

Within the report, it’s explained that neither the defender wants to move away from the La Liga winners nor Diego Simeone’s side ‘seek to sell’ Trippier.

The stance maintained by both the fullback and Atlético will only make it more difficult for United to sign him in the summer.
