Rui Patrício’s future at Wolverhampton Wanderers remains uncertain as AS Roma are credited with an interest in the goalkeeper.

The Patrício situation has forced Wolves to look for potential candidates to replace the Portugal international, and they have reportedly identified his compatriot, José Sá as a target.

Earlier reports indicated the Premier League side are favourites to sign the Olympiacos keeper.

Sporttime journalist Gerasimos Manolidis reported on Thursday the Greek side could look to part ways with Sá, Rúben Semedo and Mady Camara this summer.

Olympiacos manager Pedro Martins had asked the club not to sell all three players, but ‘the timing and situation’ overpowers the coach’s desire.

Regarding the goalkeeper, the report states a move to Molineux could be on the cards, and his sale will be ‘highly profitable’ for Olympiacos.

Another Sportime journalist, Giannis Chorianopoulos, took to Twitter today to report the Greek champions are ‘checking for all the options’ in the market to replace Sá because he’s ‘close to a deal with Wolves’.
