On Thursday morning, a couple of reports from the Italian media highlighted Manchester United’s interest in Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.
It was claimed that the Red Devils are ‘ready to pay’ for the centre-back’s transfer, while he has an affordable €61m release clause at the Serie A side.
It turns out that as journalist Alfredo Pedulla now writes about Bremer, he makes it clear that Manchester United should worry about the competition from Liverpool for the player.
The journalists start by explaining the clause, claiming the price is actually closer to €70m, and that can be postponed to 2025 in case Juventus pay the player €500k.
Now speaking of interested clubs, it’s said that even though Manchester United have been interested ‘for some time’, Bremer is ‘more oriented’ towards other clubs, and that includes Liverpool.
The Reds are along the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City in the list of ‘solutions’ that he’d like over the Red Devils.
Pedulla makes it clear that the ‘final say’ belongs to Bremer, so it will be important to see if a club he actually wants will come up to sign him.
