Blackburn Rovers are set to complete the signing of German midfielder Lewis Holtby tomorrow, reports Fussball Transfers.
The midfielder, who is currently a free agent, was linked with a surprise move to Ewood Park earlier this week and earlier today we covered a report that he had turned down big money in China to return to England.
Fussball Transfers now report a deal is close to being sewn up, with Holtby having his medical today with the Championship club ahead of the move.
Both parties will now sign the relevant contracts tomorrow and Rovers will announce the deal after that.
Holtby has been out of contract since leaving Hamburger SV at the end of last season and had been linked with a move to Besiktas, but that failed to materialise.
The 29-year-old has now elected to return to England for his next step, after spells with Tottenham and Fulham earlier in his career.
