Arsenal have become the latest club to be credited with interest in Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey.
The right-back has made 23 appearances in all competitions and has impressed with his displays this season, after struggling with a hamstring injury last season.
His form has drawn the attention of several clubs across Europe, including the Gunners. Akşam has a report on the 22-year-old, titled: ‘Arsenal’s priority is Boey’.
Within the report, it’s explained the north London club, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Lyon and Sporting are all interested in the defender.
Regarding Arsenal, Akşam state Mikel Arteta is ‘keen to sign’ him. To please the manager, the Gunners are ready to knock on the Istanbul club’s door to ask about the fullback after this season.
The Frenchman has a contract expiring in 2025 and his current market value is €11m. Galatasaray have already rejected an €8m bid from Lyon for Boey, but Akşam don’t specify when they made this offer.
Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are currently the two right-backs at the Emirates. It would only make sense for Arsenal to sign Boey in the summer if one of the former two were to leave Arteta’s side.
