Jhon Lucumi remains a sellable entity for Bologna and Nottingham Forest are a leading candidate for his signature.
The centre-back’s future has been uncertain for many months now. Sport Witness have closely covered his situation for a while, with Sunderland initially stepping forward last summer. A move failed and more recently, Manchester United were linked with his signature.
The Colombian’s current deal runs until summer 2027, making him a very useful transfer opportunity. The player has rejected approaches for a new deal, having been keen on an exit last year too.
As Bologna look keen on his sale, a move to Nottingham Forest still looks possible.
Exit very certain
Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that initially, Juventus were keen on a move for Lucumi. The player indicated they were his priority but the Old Lady haven’t sealed a move yet. Juve need to make a sale before signing him, which is giving Lucumi the chance to explore other opportunities.
Nottingham Forest are in the race, with the player having rejected approaches from Turkey. Como have also made initial contact but the centre-back is currently prioritising a move to England if can’t seal a Juve move.
Oliver Glasner’s side remain ‘most interested’ in a deal. The newspaper clarify the Bianconeri do not want to be engaged in an auction, and would walk away in that case
This puts Nottingham Forest in an advantage, with the player’s €28m release clause having expired earlier this month.

Considering the number of clubs in the race, Bologna are already trying to create an auction for the 28-year-old. They know they’re losing the player and want to get as much as possible.
