Kylian Mbappé is ‘angry’ at the developing transfer saga at Paris Saint Germain but ‘refuses’ to sign for Chelsea for more than a year.
That’s according to Sport, who say that open talks between Chelsea and the Parisians to formalise a possible transfer have not impressed the French star.
The newspaper explains that Chelsea called PSG to make an offer for the forward, with Todd Boehly speaking to Nasser Al Khelaïfi in an effort to try and reach an agreement.
The Ligue 1 giants have put Mbappé up for sale for €250m but Chelsea weren’t going to reach that amount. They first needed to reach an agreement with the player.
He, though, isn’t keen on the move to Stamford Bridge and ‘refuses’ to go there for more than one year. He’d either want a season-long loan or a transfer which would let him leave next year.
Neither Chelsea nor PSG are keen on either of those options, although Chelsea have been open to talking about the idea of a loan as a solution to the developing mess.
PSG are starting to lose patience with the player, particularly as they believe he has an agreement with Madrid to arrive on a free next season.
Mbappé, for his part, is willing to endure even if PSG sends him to sit in the stands all season. Of course, nobody really wants that, and Chelsea are now trying to insert themselves into things to try and stop that happening.
