Two days ago, we carried a report from VERSUS in Paraguay, who stated that Brighton & Hove Albion ‘already have a formal offer’ to present for the signing of Julio César Enciso.

It was also explained the 17-year-old’s agent was expected to arrive in Paraguay this week to hold talks with his client’s current employer, Club Libertad.

There seems to be a new development in the Seagulls’ efforts to sign the midfielder, if a report from TuttoMercatoWeb is to be believed. Their title reads: ‘Brighton, an offer for the Libertad’s enfant prodige: it’s Julio Enciso’.

Within the report, it’s explained the Paraguay international is ‘already the subject of an offer’ from Graham Potter’s side. The proposal is around €6m, excluding bonuses, and Club Libertad set to receive a percentage of the fee from the player’s future sale.

The ‘negotiations are going on’, but the South American club are not in a hurry to sell. It’s said the Premier League side’s proposal is short of the €10m valuation set by Club Libertad.

Along with Brighton, Lille and Sevilla have also followed Julio César Enciso ‘for some time’.
