With a couple of Italian clubs interested in loaning Gianluca Scamacca, West Ham United have been in a number of transfer negotiations.
AC Milan and AS Roma are the two main clubs eyeing up the Hammers striker, and a variety of verbal offers appear to have been made for the Premier League side to consider.
We’ve covered a few of them, including one that involved a potential swap deal with Divock Origi, who has struggled at the San Siro side following his arrival on a free transfer as recalled by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The hope was that he could return to England, thus facilitating an exit for Scamacca at West Ham, but the Belgian was having none of it.
Looking at his situation, Gazzetta explain that the former Liverpool impact substitute’s name has ‘ended up in the dialogues’ with the Hammers on ‘two occasions’.
One was simply for a transfer, and the second, as mentioned above, was regarding ‘an exchange with Scamacca’.
However, ‘in both cases, Origi has made it known that he wants to stay’, thus snubbing West Ham twice already before mid-July.
Not exactly what David Moyes or Milan want at this moment in time, but if the Serie A side want Scamacca, they will have to think of a different way of approaching the subject.
