Two days ago, we covered claims from Spain explaining that Atlético Madrid’s Ivo Grbić has said yes to Sheffield United.
El Desmarque state the goalkeeper was absent from yesterday’s training, after receiving permission from the La Liga side, to complete his transfer to Sheffield United.
Wednesday’s edition of AS back up this claim and then state that the 28-year-old is ‘already in England’ to seal a move to the Premier League side.
The newspaper adds this operation is ‘about to close’ and the Spanish club will replace him with Rapid Bucharest stopper Horațiu Moldovan this month.
Over at Marca, they explain the Los Rojiblancos duo are ‘finalising the details’ of the operations to take them to Chris Wilder’s side and La Real respectively.
The goalkeeper arrived at the Madrid club in 2020 and will now leave them after making only 14 appearances, which doesn’t include any appearance this season.
On Tuesday, we relayed news from Spain that it was Grbić who made the decision to move to Sheffield United.
