As predicted on Monday, it appears that Romain Faivre is going to be returning to AFC Bournemouth in the next day or so.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who claim that the forward, who was loaned to Lorient until the end of the season, is terminating that deal and will head back to the Vitality Stadium.
Faivre was initially signed by Bournemouth from Lyon in a €15m deal, but was sent back to France for the season to ensure he got game time.
That was the case until very recently, when he missed the last three games allegedly due to injury, but there was a belief something more was happening behind the scenes.
Well, we now appear to have that answer, as the player will now be going back to England and ‘will finish the season’ with Bournemouth, as Faivre was already in England on Tuesday morning and could be in the group to face West Ham.
Whether that is something that is happening at the request of Andoni Iraola isn’t specifically stated, but perhaps with the exit of Hamed Traore to Napoli, there was a need for an extra body just to cover in case of injuries.
