Celtic are finally set to complete the permanent signing of Jota, according to the latest reports from the Portuguese media.

A Bola writes that the Hoops already agreed contract details with the player, and are now set to trigger their buying clause over him.

Celtic are set to pay €7.5m to get the transfer done, and the report says the purchase should be completed ‘in the coming days’.

This week, a couple of stories  from the Portuguese press had already been claiming the transfer was close to being done. But despite the confidence about it, local outlets had been writing that the personal terms agreement between the Hoops and Jota was still to be reached.

Now with everything agreed, they’re set to get him permanently, giving Benfica a percentage of a future transfer.

During his season on loan at Celtic, Jota scored 13 goals and made 14 assists in 40 appearances, and that was more than enough for him to convince club to invest in his purchase. Now it seems like a matter of time until it’s made official.
