Despite recent claims from France that Manchester United will face competition from other clubs to sign Kim Min-jae, there is no worry in the Naples media regarding the Napoli star’s potential move to Old Trafford.
Il Mattino on Tuesday state exits will be needed for the Serie A winners to carry out signings in the summer. There’s ‘one sure’ departure and this is when the defender gets a mention.
It’s claimed the 26-year-old is ‘sure’ to join Manchester United, who will pay his €60m release clause, which will be valid between July 1st and July 15th.
To be clear, they state: ‘From July 1st he will be at Manchester United who will pay the 60 million clause.’
The report adds the centre-back has ‘accepted’ the Red Devils’ offer worth £9m [€10.4m] per year. With the South Korea international on his way out, the Naples club have to find his replacement in the summer window.
Over at Area Napoli, they have relayed Antonello Gallo’s post on Facebook, where he says Erik ten Hag’s side are planning to reduce Min-jae’s price by including some of their own player[s] as part of the deal.
“If Kim is close to United, there are rumors that the Red Devils could insert some counterpart to Napoli. There is talk of Jadon Sancho, followed by the PSG but that could just enter into a more direct relationship of the club of Aurelio De Laurentiis with Manchester United,” he said.
“As always, every rebound rumour and that has a minimum of foundation, I am ready to report it.”
