PSV Eindhoven defender Olivier Boscagli has set his sights on a move to Brighton and Hove Albion and wants the deal done.
That’s according to Voetbal International and Eindhovens Dagblad, who both say the 26-year-old is pushing for the move.
The former reports that Boscagli does not intend to be mutinous in his desires to move to Brighton and won’t go on strike but has indicated internally that he would like to go to the Premier League.
He can enjoy a huge step up financially at the Premier League club and wants to take it, but the question is whether PSV will accept a bid after Brighton stepped forward with an unacceptable offer earlier this week.
Boscagli wanting to go is a huge setback for the Dutch champions, who have found themselves in a similar situation with Jordan Teze, who wants to go to AS Monaco.
Eindhovens Dagblad meanwhile, report that Boscagli ‘wants to leave PSV quickly’ and go to Brighton.
He’s set his sights on the move and pick up a ‘much higher salary’ than he currently earns at PSV. The newspaper even states that he can ‘personally make ends meet’ with the Dutch club to push through the move.
PSV want to extend his deal but he ‘absolutely wants to leave’ Eindhoven, although he will not go as far as to refuse to play and will make himself available until a deal is finalised.
