St. Pauli’s Eric da Silva Moreira is ‘about to move’ to Nottingham Forest, according to Sky Deutschland.
The 18-year-old is a product of the German club’s youth system and made his way into their first team back in March, when he came off the bench against 1.FC Nuremberg. That was his only appearance for St. Pauli, who have secured promotion to the Bundesliga.
It’s claimed the winger has caught the attention of a few Bundesliga sides, but he has made a decision to move to the Premier League, where Nottingham Forest are keen to sign him.
Moreira, who was part of Germany’s U17 World Cup winning squad, is managed by Jorge Mendes. Sky point out the super-agent has close ties with the Reds, and this may have helped them sign the youngster.
Florian Plettenberg covered this report, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that Nottingham Forest are ‘close’ to acquiring Moreira’s signature.
The journalist says there are ‘concrete talks’, likely between Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and St. Pauli, about a deal worth around €1.5m.
