Towards the end of the summer window, AFC Bournemouth’s Romain Faivre came close to securing a move to Hellas Verona.
On September 2nd, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Hellas Verona had reached an agreement with the Cherries but weren’t able to complete the signing because Faivre decided against joining them at the last minute.
The transfer window in the UK has already closed, but the 27-year-old can still leave the Premier League club.
That’s according to journalist Marc Mechenoua, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that the Frenchman is ‘about to leave’ Bournemouth for Al-Taawoun FC.
The Saudi transfer window is still open, allowing Al-Taawoun to take the midfielder away from Andoni Iraola’s side, and Mechenoua now reports they want to sign him on loan with an option to buy set at €10m.
According to the journalist, the Middle Eastern club should make the player’s ‘signing this Wednesday’, meaning he’s set to complete a move to Al-Taawoun tomorrow.
In another post on X, Mechenoua reiterates the purchase clause to buy the Frenchman is optional.
Faivre hasn’t made an appearance for Bournemouth this season.
