Lazio fans are a little sad, reports Italian newspaper Leggo.
Felipe Anderson’s transfer to West Ham is said to have been met with disappointment by fans, who have ‘flooded’ social media wishing their former player well.
There’s also exictement over what a new Lazio team could look like, and the exit of Anderson to West Ham will directly lead to players being brought in. Getting a big chunk of money from the Hammers will obviously help in that regard.
And that’s where Southampton come in, with Leggo reporting Manolo Gabbiadini is one of the options currently being considered.
The Italian club like Gabbiadini but it’s not explained if they’d be looking for a straight transfer or a loan with a buying option, the latter would likely be the first attempt.
The forward only started eleven matches for the Saints last season and if he’s again going to be a bit part player then it would be no surprise if Gabbiadini is considering returning to Italian football.
