Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as a candidate for Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the winter market.

This surprise claim comes from France as Foot Mercato state Wolves would be ‘very interested’ in signing the right-back on a loan deal.

Nélson Semedo is the only recognised right-back at Molineux and an injury to him will leave Wolves short of options.

The addition of Wan-Bissaka, even on loan, to their squad, would see him provide cover and competition to the Portugal international at Wolves, something he is already doing for Diogo Dalot at Manchester United.

Dalot is the first choice right-back for Erik ten Hag this season, but the Red Devils coach relied upon Wan-Bissaka for the first four matches after the World Cup.

Wan-Bissaka has impressed in recent fixtures and is ‘highly appreciated’ by the ex-Ajax coach. In view of these performances, both the defender and Ten Hag’s side would not be encouraged to accept an offer from Wolves, if they were to make one.

The report was covered by Santi Aouna and the journalist took to Twitter to explain Wan-Bissaka is Wolves’ ‘priority’ target for the right-back position. He adds Julen Lopetegui’s side also hope to sign a centre-back, defensive midfielder and a striker in January.
