Rangers manager Philippe Clement has set his sights on bringing Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis to Ibrox this month, according to Het Nieuwsblad.

The 26-year-old joined the Tricky Trees in 2022 and failed to impress in his debut season.

This resulted in Nottingham Forest sending him on loan to Istanbul Basaksehir last summer and he hasn’t yet managed to shine in Turkey.

Philippe Clement wants to open Rangers’ door for him, at least according to the report.

Dennis has been restricted to eight appearances this season and since he has failed to cement a place at Istanbul Basaksehir, a switch to Ibrox is said to be on the cards.

In fact, Het Nieuwsblad state the Nigeria international is ‘on his way’ to Rangers in the winter market.

The Rangers coach knows the Nottingham Forest owned player very well from his time at Club Brugge. Dennis played under Philippe Clement’s orders between 2019 and 2021, and managed 10 goals and five assists from 46 games for the Belgian club.

The report doesn’t specify the type of the operation but it would be likely that Rangers will take Dennis on a loan deal.

Rangers have already signed Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva on loan and Philippe Clement now seems to want Dennis at his disposal.
