Following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2022/23 season, Armel Bella-Kotchap went on loan to PSV Eindhoven.
Injuries derailed the defender’s progress at PSV but his stock is still quite high – or so it seems. Due to that, a Bundesliga move could be on the cards for the 22-year-old.
Florian Plettenberg has reported on the situation of the former Bochum defender, who has now returned to Southampton but may not play in the Premier League.
That is because Hoffenheim are working on a potential ‘permanent deal’ for the German defender and agreeing personal terms for him would not be a problem by any means.
A verbal agreement over personal terms is close but talks over the transfer are taking place with the Saints and expectation is a fee of €15m to €17m could be enough.
Things seem positive, as the first offer has already been made and the expectation is that more could follow.
