Justin Kluivert spent a season on loan at Valencia before joining AFC Bournemouth from AS Roma on a permanent transfer in June 2023.
He managed nine goals and two assists last season and has starred for Bournemouth this season, scoring 13 goals and registering eight assists from 33 games.
Team Raiola, led by Vincenzo Raiola and José Fortes, are managing the Bournemouth star’s affairs.
Marca have had a detailed chat with Fortes, during which he talked about wanting to bring the 25-year-old back to La Liga.
During his loan spell at Valencia, he mainly operated as a forward, scoring eight goals and registering two assists from 29 games. Andoni Iraola has mainly deployed Kluivert as an attacking midfielder at Bournemouth.
The Netherlands international has a contract with the Cherries until 2028, but Fortes has expressed his wish to take the player back to Spain. The agent is of the belief a move to Atlético Madrid would help his client excel further.
“I would love for Justin to return to Spain. He has all the qualities to play for Atlético. He’s a hard-working player, dedicated to defence, with a lot of grit and talent. He would be a perfect fit for Atlético,” he said.
There’s been no concrete claims of Atlético wanting to sign or having showed interest in the Dutchman, at least for the summer window, so it’s an odd leap for the agent.
Meanwhile, Kluivert stated last month that he would open to returning to Valencia in the future.
