The Brazilian press continues to insist that Manchester City are interested in Grêmio forward Everton.

This Thursday, website Globo Esporte has a story saying AC Milan have been watching some talents in Brazil. After signing Lucas Paquetá from Flamengo, they would now be following Rodrigo Dourado from Internacional and Everton from Grêmio.

When speaking of Everton, Globo Esporte mentions some competition there is for the player. They say there’s an unnamed German club who are interested, just like Manchester United, whose chase was reported by the English media.

Now Manchester City are the club who the website claims to really know something about.

According to the report, Everton’s name is ‘spoken internally’ at the Premier League champions, and ‘people close to his agents’ visited City’s training ground recently.

Some reports from Brazil have said that Pep Guardiola has already called Everton. The player, however, has made jokes about the situation, saying he wants the manager’s number and would accept even a Whatsapp chat.
