Bayer Leverkusen’s Exequiel Palacios has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Liverpool.
Last week, we covered claims from Argentina that Pep Guardiola has Palacios in his mind to improve Manchester City’s midfield. It was also explains his profile meets the Citizens’ requirements.
Soy Del Millo look at Manchester City and Liverpool links and then give their own take on this case.
The Argentina international graduated from River Plate’s academy and spent two years with their first team before joining Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020.
He recently admitted having held talks with Gonzalo Montiel, who returned to Rive Plate in January. Guardiola’s target also revealed his compatriot has asked him to return to his former club.
Soy Del Millo relay his comments and insists Palacios isn’t thinking about moving back to his former club anytime soon. Manchester City or Liverpool could be an option for him if he decides to leave the Bundesliga club.
The outlet found out from those close to him that among the Premier League duo, he is ‘more inclined to join’ Manchester City.
Palacios has a contract until 2028, and the report states Bayer Leverkusen are asking for no less than €50m for him.
